It has been a wonderful month with so much happening. Chariot 1 finished off in Natal and returned to Gauteng, where it has been working in the Pretoria area. Chariot 2 arrived home from months on the road and baptizing over 400 souls. Chariot 3 in Ghana has been working the Accra area and the brethren there are teaching thousands with open air meetings. God is so Good. The GCM team got together in Pretoria and had a leadership weekend. It was fantastic. We have also managed to purchase a mini chariot for our brother Isaac Daye in Liberia. See photo below. We wish you well, brother, as you reach West Africa. AMEN. We hope to have mini chariots working in Liberia, Zimbabwe, Togo and Malawi within 6 months. Our goal 20 mini chariots. Please pray for our bold goal for Jesus. To Him be the Glory.

AMEN....Above shows the new mini chariot that was built in Monrovia
Liberia and brother Isaac Daye will be using it and overseeing it and
evangelizing West Africa. |

Above shows one of the open air gospel meetings. Thousands have
heard the message of Christ in the Accra area as well as the Tema region |

More open air meetings in Accra Ghana |

Above shows a 5 hour gospel float with the gospel Chariot moving slowly
through the streets of Accra. During the procession, thousands of lessons
were handed out. The climax of the float was Evans Lartey speaking on
12 radio stations in Accra where millions would have heard the Word.

PRETORIA
|
Above shows Bongani putting up the Gospel Chariot in the Pretoria area,
and who is helping him. His 2 sons Kabelo and Qiniso. We love them
and want to see them grow up and do us all proud. |
|
Above shows the brethren having a combined service in Block FF,
and that is in Soshanguve in the Pretoria area.
|
|
After worship there were some children activities. God working as
they let the community know that the Church of Christ is alive. |
|
Above shows myself with our GCM team. We all got together to have
a leadership retreat and look at ways to grow ourselves and in the
process grow the Lords Church, our ministry and those around us.
It was FANTASTIC. |
|
.
Everything rises and falls on leadership. John Maxwell's law of
process teaches that " leaders develop daily and not in a day"
One thing we understand, is we will never be GREAT leaders,
but we do believe we can become BETTER leaders. |
|
The fellowship was so uplifting and so needed. We work in some
areas where the church is strong and we work in some areas where
we do pioneering work and we need this kind of stuff, due to it
getting very lonely when working where the church is almost non
existent. It is very good to share experiences and struggles. |
|
They say a Church must be well FED and well LED. We have to
know the way, go the way and show the way and that's going to
take some planning and guidance from our Heavenly Father. |
|
Oh yes, some of the guys having some good fellowship. Great guys.
Brothers Lazarus, Stanley, Lyman, Bongani and De Villiers. These
are some of the best leaders in the making. Wow, what potential. |
|
Above shows the Pretoria Downtown Church of Christ. |
|
There are 4 different sections where brethren can sit. They are packed
to capacity on a Sunday morning. I got to preach after our leadership
retreat. On my way out I got a DVD with my lesson on. This is a hi-tech
Church of Christ and I predict it will become the biggest Church of
Christ in South Africa. They have vision. As the saying goes:" show me
the leader with no vision and I will show you a leader who is going
no where" These brethren have vision.
|
|
And more people on the upper level |
|
May God continue working through this young Church of Christ |
|
Whilst there I had to stop and say hi to the Motimelas. That is Dimpo
Motimela's lovely family. Dimpo is the future director of Gospel
Chariot Missions Africa. We are grooming Dimpo to take over in
2020. He has such a wonderful family. Above is sister Kagiso, his
wife, and they have two cutie patutie kids. Litte Morena who is always
ready to help his dad and their little baby girl, Nina. Dimpo has been
with us since he left school. Today he is married and one of the
preachers at this thriving Downtown Church of Christ. Who says
we at GCM don't have full time jobs. Who says only woman can
multi task. Ha Ha. God is Good.
|
|
Above shows my other grand baby. Little Nina. We can't wait to see
her and Morena grow up in the Lord. |
|
My little buddy, Morena. Apparently he wants a GCM jacket like mine.
We have been looking for one, but can't find that size. He really
deserves one. Always willing to help his dad. That goes for Bongani's
2 as well. They also love to help their dad. We are truly a GCM family. |
|
Above show Leslie baptizing a soul in Downtown Durban. From
Downtown to Downtown |
|
More souls being baptized in Durban. See that baptistery and curtain.
All that was done by our brother Brian Lister who has refurbished
the Downtown building for the Downtown Church and our GCM
Office. |
|
Then you see my lovely wife helping us set up a visiting preacher's
guesthouse in Kwanakutula where visiting preachers will stay
when helping us. This is in the township and with Ria and I being
out of the country more from next year, we have decided to make
sure that mature brethren visit and help with what we started some
years back. We still got so much work to do in the area. |
|
Above shows some of the little children receiving a fruit and slice of
bread after Sunday school. God Bless Plett as we reach out over the
mountains to all the surrounding towns and plant more Churches. |
|
Above shows my 2nd best friend who had to be put down due to old
age. My dog Gizmo. He ran many miles with me when I use to run
the Comrades marathon every year. I never thought I would get so
attached to a dog. Shame. |
|
When they put him down, tears just ran from my eyes. It was hard to
witness that. He was 14 years old. That's really old for a big dog.
Lesson learnt. We are all getting old and going to have to move on.
Make the most of your time for the Lord. There is a difference between
Success and Significance. Success is when you add value to yourself.
Significance is when you add value to others. AMEN |
