NAMIBIA.

April we were in Namibia with Chariot number 2. It was fantastic. We have been working in Namibia for some 10 years now and it has been hard. Churches have been planted and much evangelism with USA campaigners. This year was a little different; we got all the congregations we planted, together in Tsumeb for a mini lectureship. It was the best thing we could have done. Now the brethren know each other better and we got to encourage brother Dalton from Tsumeb. He heads up the Tsumeb Bible academy. The Fredericksburg Church of Christ once again came over to help. They and the Northside Church of Christ in Benton have been our helpers over many years in Namibia. Thanks guys. Look what God is doing through you.

CAMPAIGNING IN TSUMEB

Above shows the campaigners from Fredericsburg Texas with John and myself. We started off teaching one on one on the Chariot and then had brethren come in from the different congregations for some encouragement.

Above shows Holly and Sarah buying some clothing for the little children being housed by John and Martie. As Sarah said, this is my kind of mission work.

God Bless them. They are cute and so special.

Some of the brethren that came in. As they arrived the singing began.

There were lessons by different preachers. But the fellowship was the best....amen

Some of those who traveled many miles to get there.

Then there was the door knocking and looking for bible studies. We had some problems with rain, rain and rain.

Some of the bible studies that took place. There were 2 baptisms.

It is not always about how many bible studies you have, but how many people do you encourage. People don't care how much you know until they see how much you care. Holly having fun.

Brother Zack, one of the elders, teaching 2 ladies the gospel. Wonderful leader he is.

Holly with David who was taught and baptized into Christ.

Bob with another brother being baptized into Jesus. Rain or no rain there were those seeking.

The Gospel Chariot was erected next to the Bible Academy. We then met in the building during the weekend when brethren came into town. We encouraged brethren to send Christians to this school for further studies. It is imperative that leaders study Gods word..

WINDHOEK

Above shows Anton with some of the young ladies from the Windhoek Church of Christ. They are starting to grow and we need to thank Anton for his leadership.

Above shows me with the 2 ladies that have stood the test of time. Hellenie and Esther from the congregation who struggled when the brethren were divided. They stood firm and today the congregation is on the up. Who says woman don't play a big role.

The Wanaheda congregation in Windhoek. This congregation we planted some years back and today because of those ladies and Anton. Great things are happening. Keep it up guys.

This is the house that the congregation meets in. It also serves as an office for us as we reach out into the country of Namibia.

Above shows Hellenie, Esther, Minnie and Elizabeth.

What would church be without the little ones. This congregation has always been strong with the little ones. Thanks to Richard and Shirley from Benton. We are all praying for you to get well Richard. Hope to see you in Windhoek again.

WALVIS BAY

Walvis Bay is on the west coast of Namibia. We managed to plant a congregation there 3 years ago. Last year we campaigned there with the Fredericksburg congregation.

Chariot 2 traveled from South Africa into Namibia in March and started evangelizing. Going into schools handing out lessons and Bibles. Then Headed to Walvis. On arrival they had to have some repairs done to the wheel drum. It also had to rubberise the baptistery that was leaking.

Then there was the cleaning of the Chariot. The brethren there assisting.

A soul being baptized into Jesus in the sea.

Alick taking the good confession before baptizing some souls.

Every year as we travel, one of the main things we do, is sow the seed. We go to high schools and hand out bible lessons as well as Bibles to high school students. Pending the supply of bibles.

Above shows bibles being distributed to school children in the final year at school.

Lessons and Bibles being handed out.

Teachers allow us to go into the classrooms and speak to the children and hand out lessons.

These students then get linked up to WBS teachers in the USA who teach them through the mail. We just sow as much as we can and God does the rest. AMEN

Then next year we go back to the same towns and cities and try follow up on those who got teachers in the USA. We also encourage the young school leavers to study through Nations University, where they can get a bible degree free of charge.

It is this kind of thing that makes me feel so good. Brethren, all God wants. is for us to try.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE COUNTRY OF NAMIBIA. THAT WE MIGHT REACH MANY AND STRENGTHEN MANY OVER THE COMING YEARS. TO ALL NAMIBIAN CHRISTIANS. GOD IS WORKING IN YOU AND THROUGH YOU........AMEN
