509 BAPTISMS FOR JUNE AND JULY IN MALAWI AND VENDA...WE GIVE GOD THE GLORY. READ JUNE REPORT TO GET THE FULL PICTURE.

MALAWI

Above shows some serious damage to our stage. As our team crossed from Tanzania into Malawi the roads got really bad. The stage somehow came open although it has a lock and is spring loaded. How it happened I don't know, but it did. It released itself and fell open and hit the road. It did some serious damage. How do you get it repaired in Malawi?? Well, we managed to get a brother in the area to do some cutting and pasting. Not a bad repair for being in the middle of nowhere. It is hard for me to explain what is happening in Africa. We are on the brink of even better things. The more we network and let the brethren in the different countries take control, the more success we are seeing. There are some fireballs out there. From next month we are going to just put photos, hundreds of them, because I believe a picture tells a thousand stories. Scroll down to our June report to see more regarding Malawi and Venda

Above shows one of the most motivated brothers in Africa. Brother Moster Kanyinji from Malawi. He has been a tremendous asset to GCM. Above shows some of the many gospel meetings that took place in Malawi. 419 in total were baptized in Malawi and 90 in Venda.

VENDA

Above shows Chariot 1 putting the tent up and getting ready for gospel meetings. This is done every week for 8 weeks. It takes a lot of work. There have been 90 baptisms in Venda in the last two months. The Venda brethren are very motivated and are a pleasure to work with. Brother Obrien Malindi is the leader who networks with all the sister congregations in the area. He is well respected and does a wonderful job. Above shows some of the leaders who work with him. The congregations all share the workload. Above also shows some of the baptisms. The Venda Bible School being built, should have the roof on by October or November. The building has taken so much longer than what we expected. We work on African time this side. I am looking forward to 2009. This is going to be fantastic having men trained up in Venda. We need help in Nelspruit. Who is going to help us? The brethren in Venda will. God is working through Venda.

Durban Gospel Chariot Office

Above shows the Durban building. Gospel Chariot Missions has an office on the ground floor. There is also a congregation that meets in the building. This is a wonderful ministry reaching out to the multitudes in Kwa Zulu Natal.

Above shows Paulos and Leslie who work in the Gospel Chariot Office. They network with Church of Christ brethren in the area. They also do the grading of Bible lessons as well as follow up and seminars.

Above shows more studies taking place in the office. Brother Colin goes into the Durban prisons and Paulos and Leslie do all the grading for him. Every month there are mini seminars taking place at the office. Brethren in the Durban area work together to make this a success. Students are taught and then given some refreshments.

Above shows Paulos putting posters up advertising FREE World Bible School lessons. As people walk past they stop and get the information and post it onto our office. People are hungry for the Word and want to study God's Word. This encourages me so much.

As you can see souls are saved. God is Good. Paulos and Leslie have been using the Queen Mary Church of Christ building to baptize souls. Doors are opening in many area,s
Above shows the congregation that meet in the 5 storey building in Downtown Durban. You also see Quinton and Alfred. Alfred works 4 hours south out of the big city in Lusikisiki. GCM helped Alfred start a congregation in his home town. We also got the Benton Church of Christ to help us help him build a Church building. The Lampases Church supports Alfred now. On the bottom right shows the Lukolo Church of Christ also south out of the big city. Al Neuhold, one of the elders in Lamar, taught Joel through WBS and Ria and I baptized him. GCM then helped Joel build a Church building as well. God is working in Natal. The man on the left is France Molefi who was also taught through WBS. We baptized him encouraged him and empowered him. Today he is no longer with GCM, but directs the Natal School of Preaching in Downtown Durban. Brian and Des Lister oversee this school from the Queen Mary Church of Christ. Gospel Chariot Missions loves to network with brethren.
Above shows Paulos help feed the little children. The Radebe family, who are retired, do this from their home. Paulos has been working with a number of families in the area. He has a new convert, Sibusiso Cele, who is his Timothy. He volunteers his services every week to help Paulos and GCM.

Pretoria Gospel Chariot Office

Above is the Pretoria Gospel Chariot building. We have a number of ministries that operate from here. All our Chariots are run from this office. Dimpo Motimele is the coordinator who works closely with me. We have a short term Bible school, World Bible School office and a Downtown congregation that meets on Sundays. They are approximately 200 in attendance.
Above shows the GCM team. Mamse, Jonas, Bongani, Dimpo, Quinton, Joshua, Lydia, Elvis, Shanga and Lazarus. There are 12 of us and we are the GCM family. On the right you can see Dimpo with his wife and newborn baby boy. We are so proud of them. Below shows the congregation on Sunday during worship and after worship. Above shows Dimpo sitting with Joshua. Behind them you can see the year planner. We plan the Chariots' travels as well as all seminars and Church visits. We also have dates for different semesters at the Short Term Bible Schools. A lot of planning and work goes into one year. On the right you can see Lazarus Munetsi with his wife. Laz works full time at this office. He and Dimpo are my right and left hand men. Both teach at the Pretoria Short Term School. Lazarus is boasting his Masters Degree through Nations University. Our offices are satellite Universities for Nations. On the left you can see students lining up for their diplomas on graduation day. This shows the office with Dimpo, Lazarus, Joshua, Shanga and the ladies Mamse and Lydia.

Below you can see the ladies grading and working with many, many WBS lessons and names. We put ads in the newspaper and receive thousands of responses. We even get some through the cell phone. People can now sms us. We also have a WBS Private Bag X10 in Boksburg where all students in South Africa send their mail bound for the USA. Vicki and these ladies work with this ministry. They are a fantastic team.

Above: Shanga from the A team. Shanga goes out to all the surrounding towns visiting WBS students. He goes into their homes and studies with them. He then baptizes and links them to the different Churches of Christ. So the teachers do the teaching and we do the reaching. This we do house to house, but most times through seminars. This way we invite hundreds to come study with us. Gas is so expensive. We are very concerned in this regard. Please pray for us.

Above shows a combined meeting in the Pretoria area. We might have the office in the city, but each evangelist who works with us is also a preacher and leader of a Pretoria congregation. The Church of Christ in Pretoria is doing extremely well. The Church of Christ is strongest in Pretoria, Venda and Natal.

Windhoek Summer Campaign with Benton Congregation

Above shows the Wanahede Church of Christ in Windhoek, Namibia. They worship in a house that was purchased by GCM for an office and Short Term Bible School. From this congregation doors opened in Rundu, up north, where 3 congregations have been started.
Above shows some of the activities that took place in Windhoek. Gospel Chariot started the Church of Christ in Windhoek some years back. Since then the Northside Church of Christ in Benton has helped us work Windhoek. This year saw Richard and Shirley Wallace once again do their time in Windhoek. They have traveled for a number of years helping this work. Things are picking up in Windhoek. Jimmy Mitchell and 4 of the youth, joined Richard and Shirley. This group went into the High Schools as well as Primary Schools teaching Jesus. They managed to speak to the High school's religious club as well. The Wanaheda Church of Christ was encouraged. The little ones got to do so much with this group. The Northside Church of Christ is our new overseeing congregation. This is why we chose Northside. We want a sponsoring congregation to visit and be part of the dream. Thank you Mike Knappier and Northside.

Above shows the 4 youngsters from Benton distributing food to the needy. They are Lance Smith, Carlton Norris, Camron Cook and Justin Brown. Its not how much you know, but how much you care. These young men go to college in the fall. They had a wonderful time and we pray they continue doing good as they step into the Big World.
THANK YOU NORTHSIDE CHURCH OF CHRIST
